The official description of the Florida state flag is a white field with a large red saltire (a diagonal cross) and the state seal in the center. The red saltire bars are one-fifth the width of the flag's hoist and extend from each corner towards the center, reaching the outer rim of the seal. The seal itself is in the center of the flag and has a diameter equal to one-half the hoist.
